What’s more effective at grabbing someone’s attention than a giant poster – but a giant mirrored poster?
Designer Nikolas Bentel created mirrored protest signs for activists battling the Dakota Access Pipeline in the USA.
He was inspired by the legend of Archimedes’s defence against the Roman siege but instead of setting fires, his signs were designed to distract the opposition with bright lights and reflect their images.
The reflect causes the opposition to see themselves in the context of the poster therefore directly associating with the message.
